Hello, Insomnia
AN ART EXHIBIT BY René J. Palomares II: June 2021
As the world felt the unrest of 2020, so too did the physical and mental state of artist: René J. Palomares II. Sleep was the first thing to escape Palomares. Resulting to a state of insomnia and early morning pondering of the state of the world. These restless nights led Palomares to see deeper cracks in the foundations in which we have built our communities, our schools and our lives. Time became blurred and the mortality of those we love crept into his mind. The body of work featured for "Hello, Insomnia" explores those thoughts, emotions, and experiences that came during those early morning hours; a time of solace, peace and reflection.
Hello Insomnia is represented through characters named by the artist as: Insomniacs. They are based off prior characters created by Palomares known as: Hollowmen.
